Creative Ways to Keep Toddlers and Kids Busy

Are you tired of your kid following you everywhere you go? Seems like you cannot even get a minute of peace. Not to be negative since kids are cute and all but we all need space. And when it comes to those little hands grabbing your hair and pulling your clothes even during the grocery time, you just need a break. It is hard to live with babies, they are cute, sweet and amazing but when they start chasing you running after you with those little feet, kids can become a handful.

Especially when you have to manage many things at once, you cannot just entertain your child all day and well those tiny creatures don’t understand there are other things and people in your life besides them. From constant attention-seeking to bunch of tantrums all thrown at once, you need to have a proper strategy to raise a kid. Not like a million-dollar heist but a series of routine steps can make your child more disciplined and have better constructive growth years. Hence here are a few productive ways to keep your toddler busy.

Cartoons

Cartoons!! Do they scream the same way as we do? Cartoons are the easiest solution that comes in most of our minds when we are imagining to keep those little ones occupied. Cartoon can be fun, creative, and above all learning. You need to choose the best channels and let them watch cartoons online. Through creative shapes and colorful characters, the child can learn a lot in the early years.

However, this does not mean you must let this urge go uncontrolled, watching too many cartoons can make your kid lazy, unhealthy, and also stubborn. This could have a negative impacts on their tiny mind which in turn will affect them in the later years of life.

Let Them Draw Cartoons

Once they are done watching the cartoons, encourage your children to create their own. Give them some crayons and a piece of paper, and ask them to create a hero and a villain for you. Allow them to return and tell you their hero's narrative after they're finished. This won’t make them feel too far from their cartoons and they will soon learn to control the screen time as they get excited to share their own story.

Give Them a Task

Give your youngster a task to complete, and make it a big deal. Tell them that they need to draw a painting for Daddy or build a block fort for Grandma. If they believe the job is vital, they will not object to working on it alone. This will also make them feel good about themselves as they find themselves capable of accomplishing something.

Physical Activity

Is exercise just for adults who are tired of those hanging fatty tyres? No, exercise shouldn’t just be to kill fat but it must be a lifestyle. And to incorporate this element in life you must add it in, in the very early years. This doesn’t mean to let your child on a treadmill as soon as they learn to walk but you can start with a basic physical activity.

Tell them to run few minutes a day or even practice some sit-stands. Teach them leg raises or maybe a little yoga stretches to get that tiny body going. If your kid understands your words and speaks, then we think they are pretty big to exercise little each day.

Treasure Hunt

Kids love that! Hide anything in the house, such as a penny or a sticker. Give your children a clue and let them go on a hunt to find it. You'll increase their resilience—and their capacity to find things without needing your help—if you make it a little difficult to find.

Playdough

We played with it, and now let our kids have this fun too. Playdough is fantastic. To keep the mess contained, place it on a tray or cutting board. Most parents like playdough because it allows youngsters to be creative while simultaneously strengthening their hands and improving fine motor skills.

Indoor Trampoline

Indoor trampoline is fun and we bet it should be a part of every child’s life. That kind of fun is for everyone to enjoy and great enough there is no harm to it. If your little one is too bored then get them a trampoline. You will find them jumping up and down for hours at a time and they will be laughing out loud each time they go up. Well that’s how kids are but what’s the trouble if you can get those dishes done meanwhile?

Play Dates

Thankfully as the pandemic subsides you need to get going with those playdates again. Playdates are important for a child to grow and learn more. They start with basic skills such as communication, teamwork, sharing, caring, and friendships. Playdates allow your kids to see the world and learn about different people from an early age. Soon you will discover your kid seems happier than ever when they are with their tiny cute friends.
